Pastor Earl W. Dehart (JR) and his wife, Cathy, have a rich heritage in the Church of God.  JR is a second generation minister in the Church of God.  Cathy was born and raised in the Church of God, where her father had been a member since the 1930s.

JR holds the rank of ordained bishop in the Church of God.  JR and Cathy have been in ministry for 32 years and pastoring for 29 years.  They evangelized in several states for the first three years of their ministry.  In February 2002 they moved to Chester, VA to pastor the Chester Church of God.  Cathy teaches Adult Sunday School and Wednesday night Adult Bible Study.  She is also a part of the music ministry at Chester. 

They have one daughter, Tasha Harris, son-in-law, Kevin, and grandson, Jackson.  They also have one son, Zachary Dehart, daughter-in-law, Audra, and grandchildren, Sadie, Trevor, and (coming in July), the newest addition to their family, Brooke.  Their passion is to win the lost, make disciples and build the Kingdom.
